The Previda Foundation seeks to highlight professionals who have shown a spirit of collaboration by standing firm in their area of expertise while also recognizing how they become better professionals by acquiring new skills not taught in their original training.
This could be in emotional awareness, as a doula or perinatal psychologist, or in practical knowledge by becoming nurses, doctors, or entering another academic field not associated with their original profession.
What does this mean? Doctors who specialize in integrative medicine, doulas who study to become midwives, nurses who become doulas, prenatal educators who become lactation consultants—there are many examples of what I call ‘crossing the aisle.’
Do you know someone who has stepped out of their comfort zone to become a more well-rounded professional and better serve their patients, students, and clients?
We want to hear about them!
